  • CAHSS Grants for Pedagogy and Teaching (PAT)– Deadlines: October 15 and March 1
    The grants are open to CAHSS faculty members twice per academic year to support pedagogical development. They are available to all faculty — tenured/tenure-track, lecturers, adjuncts, and graduate teaching assistants — who teach courses in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Faculty on visiting appointments are not eligible to apply.
    Funds awarded will be available through the end of the following fiscal year (i.e., funds awarded in Academic Year 2023-2024 must be used no later than June 2025). For further information and application materials please click here.
  • John Jeffries International Fellowship– Deadlines: October 15 and March 1
    The John Jeffries International Fellowship was established at the retirement of CAHSS Dean and History Professor John Jeffries to support UMBC faculty in efforts to internationalize the curriculum. The grants are open to CAHSS faculty members twice per academic year to support their efforts in internationalizing the curriculum. They are available to all faculty — tenured/tenure-track, lecturers, adjuncts, and graduate teaching assistants — who teach courses in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Faculty on visiting appointments are not eligible to apply. Funds awarded will be available through the end of the following fiscal year (i.e., funds awarded in Academic Year 2023-2024 must be used no later than June 2025).
