UMBC’s Center for Innovation, Research, and Creativity in the Arts (CIRCA) and the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) invite applications from tenure-track and tenured faculty for research support in the arts for Summer 2017. Funding will support specific faculty projects that will enhance the prominence of the arts at UMBC and increase the quality and vitality of research or creative work in theory, scholarship, and/or practice in the arts.

 

  • Dresher Center for the Humanities/CAHSS Summer Faculty Research Fellowships (SFRF)

The Dresher Center for the Humanities and the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) invites applications for Summer Faculty Research Fellowships (SFRF). Funding is intended to support and promote significant humanities research at UMBC. Dresher Center Summer Research Fellows
will receive support for summer research and assistance in developing extramural funding applications, book proposals, and grant project applications. Funding may also be used for the completion of a book manuscript, a major article, or a project of similar stature.

 

  • Imaging Research Center (IRC)/ CAHSS Summer Faculty Research Fellowships (SFRF)

The Office of the Vice President for Research, the College of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences (CAHSS) Dean’s Office, and the Imaging Research Center (IRC) are pleased to announce an opportunity for tenured and tenure-track faculty members in CAHSS to conduct aspects of their research in the IRC.

 

  • MIPAR/CAHSS Summer Faculty Research Fellowships (SFRF)

MIPAR, the Office of the Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS), and the Vice President for Research provide research support to faculty through the MIPAR Summer Faculty Research Fellowship. MIPAR Fellows receive assistance from MIPAR to develop proposals over the summer that will lead to extramural funding for their research activities or for prestigious fellowships. Proposals are welcome from faculty in all departments in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. MIPAR especially encourages applications for policy relevant research.
