Each November, the Graduate School hosts a Candidacy Recognition Ceremony and reception in honor of those who have reached candidacy.
Friends and family are invited to join you in celebrating your success in reaching this major milestone towards achieving your goal of earning your doctoral degree at UMBC.
So, doctoral candidates: ask your faculty mentors, your friends, graduate colleagues, and family members, to save November 13th on their calendars for your special night and to bring their cameras.
If you have reached candidacy between mid-October 2017 and mid-October 2018, you will be invited by the Graduate School to be honored at this event on November 13, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom.
