This event is an Eminent Scholar Mentor talk by Dr. Thomas Vicino, Associate Professor of Political Science, Public Policy and Urban Affairs at Northeastern University. Dr. Vicino's research, teaching and service focus on the political economy of cities and suburbs--and the related issues of metropolitan development, housing, and demographic analysis--and ultimately the public policy responses. His talk about urban issues in Brazil will be based on his research as a Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar to that country in 2014.
