Opportunity for Graduate Students: Research Assistant
Dr. Jiyoon Lee - Education Department
Dr. Jiyoon Lee in the Education Department is looking for a graduate research assistant. Dr. Lee is conducting a research study that examines issues in paired speaking assessments. The duties of the graduate research assistant include:
- Assisting Dr. Lee with literature review
- Recruiting and corresponding with potential research participants
- Collecting data (audio- and video-taping students’ interaction)
- Making trips to College Park or other Maryland universities where Korean is taught to collect data (only if there are not enough participants recruited on campus)
If the research assistant has proficiency in Korean, it would be a plus but not required. The research assistant will be paid $18/hour. The research assistantship will not last more than 100 hours.
