STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Ileana Su
A Study Abroad Story
Our other new series we would like to highlight is our Student Spotlight series! This is where we will share all about what our students in Asian Studies are doing - from their awesome projects and research in classes to their stories from studying abroad.
We'd like to first highlight our first Asian Studies student, Ileana Su!
Ileana is a senior at UMBC this year, majoring in Modern Languages, Linguistics & Intercultural Communication (MLLI) with a Korean concentration, minoring in Asian Studies, and pursuing the pre-nursing track. In the last year, she was awarded the Asian Studies Study Abroad Scholarship, which helped support her study abroad program in South Korea this past spring!
After her program in Korea, Ileana was able to reflect on some of her fondest memories and share them with us in her story. Check out how she spent a day exploring Jeju Island!
