Kristin Kelly successfully presents

her dissertation research proposal

The Language, Literacy, and Culture Program is pleased to announce that Kristin Kelly of LLC Cohort 25 successfully and skillfully presented her dissertation research proposal on May 26, 2026.

Kristin's project is titled, “All That You Touch, You Change”:  Co-Creating Humanizing School-Based

Mentorship Programs for Black Girls.  Following her presentation, Kristin engaged in a thoughtful discussion with the committee about the future direction of her project.  The committee agreed that the project is worthy of doctoral research and offered valuable feedback to help guide the next phases of research and writing.
