Join the Women's Center in celebrating Women's History Month at a special screening of Dr. April Householder's documentary film The Brave Stepped Back: The Life and Times of Laskarina Bouboulina.

"[Laskarina] is the first woman in world naval history to have earned the title of Admiral for her command of the Spetses fleet in crucial naval battles.  Her life represents an alternative history to the masculinist and nationalistic depictions of the Greek War of Independence, as told in both Greek and philhellenic literatures."

March 6th 12-2 PM
AOK Library Gallery (1st floor to the left of the security gates)
Refreshments will be provided!

We look forward to having you with us as we celebrate Women's History Month, and Dr. Householder's contribution to feminist scholarship.
