About the Campaign:  As a Campaign Fellow, you will play a crucial role in supporting the campaign's initiatives and engaging with the community. Fellows will participate in the Campaign Classroom, a biweekly 90 minute session with best in class campaign operatives and consultants from across Maryland focusing on each discipline involved in local politics.


Job Responsibilities:

Community Outreach: Act as a representative of the campaign by engaging with community members, attending local events, and distributing campaign materials.

Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing campaign events, including town halls, fundraisers, and community meetings. This may involve logistical support, coordination with vendors, and on-site assistance.

Door Knocking / Phone Banking: Reach out to voters via door knocking / phone calls to share information about Councilman Costello's platform, address concerns, and encourage support for the campaign.

Data Entry: Maintain and update the campaign database with accurate information on voter demographics, preferences, and interactions.

Social Media Management: Contribute to the campaign's social media presence by creating content, scheduling posts, and engaging with followers.

Research: Conduct research on relevant local issues, competitors, and community concerns to support campaign messaging and strategy.

Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and responding to campaign inquiries.

Qualifications:

Passion for civic engagement and community development.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Familiarity with local issues and a commitment to Councilman Costello's vision for the 11th District and Baltimore City.

Requirements:

Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university program, or be a recent graduate.

Availability to commit 10 to 18 hours a week.

Reliable transportation to campaign events.

Proficiency in basic computer applications and social media platforms.

Compensation / Benefits:

Base paid stipend of $800 per month.

Additional paid and promotional opportunities available.

Hands-on experience in political campaign operations.

Networking opportunities with local leaders, elected officials, and best in class consultants through the Campaign Classroom.

Exposure to the intricacies of local government and public service.

Letter of recommendation upon successful completion of the fellowship.
