Tuesday 10/24 Change Makers Dinner: Environmental Justice

5:30 to 7:30pm; Meet new people, have engaging conversations

The Center for Democracy and Civic Life's Change Makers Dinner brings UMBC students (both undergraduate and graduate), faculty, staff, and alumni together for guided small-group conversations with leaders who are making a difference in their communities. On Tuesday 10/24, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the Apartment Community Center, meet local leaders and learn about their work, aspirations, and concerns in connection with environmental justice in and around the Baltimore region. You will have the opportunity to hear from these Change Makers and explore ways to get involved in addressing the topic at hand. A catered dinner will be provided.
 
Change Makers will include:
  • Kim Coble, Maryland League of Conservation Voters
  • Marisa Olszewski, Maryland League of Conservation Voters
  • Marco Merrick, Baltimore City Office of Equity & Environmental Justice
  • Ericka Popovich, Blue Water Baltimore

This event is hosted by the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) Center for Democracy and Civic Life in partnership with with the Department of Chemical, Biochemical, and Environmental Engineering, the Department of Geography & Environmental Systems, UMBC Greenpeace, the Student Government Association, the Graduate Student Association, and the Geography & Environmental Systems Council of Majors.
