Fulbright Recipient Paul Ocone' 22
Paul Ocone INDS Fall 2022 INDS B.A.: Anime and Manga Studies, is the recent recipient of UMBC 2023-2024 Prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student Award. The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to build lasting connections between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.
Ocone will be conducting 'Otaku (anime/manga fandom) research at Meiji University School of Global Japanese Studies in Japan. He will have the opportunity to further his research with Professor Kaichiro Morikawa, an associate professor at Meiji University and author of: Otaku: persona = space = city.
The INDS team would like to congratulate Paul Ocone' 22 and wish him much success on his research at Meiji University School of Global Japanese Studies in Japan!
