Lauren Pollak successfully presents her

Dissertation Research Proposal

The Language, Literacy, and Culture Program is pleased to announce that Lauren Pollak of Cohort 23 successfully and skillfully presented her dissertation research proposal to her committee on May 1, 2023.

Lauren's project is titled, An Intersectional Ethnographic Study of Community College Students who Self-Place into Co-Requisite Composition Courses at the Community College of Baltimore County.

After her presentation, Lauren had a substantive discussion with the committee about the next stages of her work. Her committee agreed that the project is worthy of doctoral research and helped Lauren consider some key issues as she moves forward into the research and writing.
