Sonya Squires-Caesar Successfully Presents

her Dissertation Research Proposal

The LLC Program is pleased to announce that Sonya Squires-Caesar of Cohort 13, successfully and skillfully presented her dissertation research proposal to her committee on May 20, 2021.

Her project is titled, "Money Tales: Tangled Financial Socialization of US Immigrants' Use of Rotating Savings and Credit Associations."

After Sonya's presentation, she had a substantive discussion with the committee about the next stages of her work. Sonya's committee agreed that the project is worthy of doctoral research and helped her consider some key issues as she moves forward into the research and writing.
