The University of Maryland, Baltimore County invites applications for four tenure track faculty members in Ancient Studies, History, Philosophy, and Political Science as a part of a cluster hire in Asian Studies.
Faculty hired as part of the cluster will form an interdisciplinary intellectual community of colleagues who share interests in Asian history, politics, philosophy and culture. Members of the cluster hire will have opportunities to collaborate across disciplines and to develop alongside a cohort of new faculty members with interests in Asian Studies. Though new faculty members will each be housed in their respective academic departments, they will also be affiliate faculty in and contribute to the interdisciplinary Asian Studies Program at UMBC through their course offerings, participation in research seminars, and engagement with Asia-related programming on campus.
