First Week

  • New faculty welcome! A welcome program for new full-time faculty will be held in the morning of August 19, 2024, with the College new faculty orientation to follow at 1:30pm in Fine Arts Room 427.
  • Departmental chair meets with new faculty to discuss classes, logistics, mentoring, describe roles and responsibilities of department administration/staff
  • Ensure new faculty member gets appropriate seminar and colloquia announcements
  • Introduce new faculty member to members of the department
  • Introduce new faculty member to graduate students
  • Provide syllabi, class notes, or other materials to facilitate teaching, class prep
  • Describe procurement procedures for new equipment

 

First Semester (some items may not apply to all faculty)

Department chair meets with new faculty and mentors to discuss progress after one year
