Paid Interviews for Environmental Migrants
Deadline: February 3rd
Meyerhoff Scholar, Honors College student, and URA awardee Keren Herrán (Individualized Study Major, "Global Health Considering Environmental Factors") is conducting her IRB-approved capstone project titled, "Analysis of Mental Well-being of Environmental Migrants in Maryland: A Comparison Study."
She is seeking to interview UMBC faculty and students who relocated to Maryland because of natural disaster (e.g., hurricane, tsunami, earthquake, mudslide, etc.) or climate change exacerbated weather events (e.g. extreme drought and water shortage, heat wave/forest fire, sea level rise, etc.).
If you relocated to Maryland due to such environmental threats, you may be eligible for participation in her research study on environmental migrant mental health. Participants are automatically awarded a $20 Amazon eGift card in exchange for a total time commitment of one hour which includes completing a 3 minute survey and brief video call interview.
Keren is recruiting participants from now until February 3rd. Please email her at heke1@umbc.edu if you would like to participate in this project!
