INDS Petrovich Lecture: James Valentine!

Mr. Valentine graduated Magna Cum Laude from UMBC, with an INDS degree in Social Perspectives on Biomedical Ethics.

Mr. Valentine will discuss the challenges and opportunities for orphan drugs within the drug development and approval system in the United States.  As part of this discussion, he will highlight new improvements in FDA’s regulatory framework intended to expedite the development and review of these drugs. The lecture will also explore the interdisciplinary nature of drug development that is an everyday aspect of Mr. Valentine’s practice.
