UMBC Partnership with BSO Academy Music Educators Track
The BSO Academy Week Music Educator Track is an excellent professional development opportunity for music educators currently teaching in schools and/or non-traditional settings, teaching artists, and/or students pursuing a career in music education.
Designed to invigorate music educators by focusing on improving musicianship, performance techniques, conducting skills, improvisation, arranging, practice techniques, and ensemble skills, participants are immersed in the world of the orchestra as you play, learn, and perform side-by-side with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
UMBC Graduate Credit
Through a unique collaboration between The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and UMBC’s Department of Music, BSO Music Educator Track participants also have the option to concurrently enroll in a graduate summer music course.
MUSIC 613 - BSO Academy for Instrumental Music Educators (3 graduate credits)
