Steven Dashiell awarded ACLS HBCU grant

Dr. Steven Dashiell, LLC PhD ’20, Adjunct Professor in the Department of Gender, Women's and Sexuality Studies, was one of twelve awardees of an American Council of Learned Societies HBCU grant this year.  The monies provided will allow him to start the work for his first book, which will be about discourses surrounding African American men, the value of leisure, and how these third-spaces facilitate a male connection often overlooked as just “playing basketball.”
