Interested in Public Service?

Learn from recent UMBC Poli Sci alums

If you're interested in a career in public service, a group of UMBC alumni have just founded an organization to help you.

Public University Public Servants (which they affectionately abbreviate as "PUPS") is a professional development society for students of public universities interested in careers in policy, politics, and law, and they're seeking new members. They're providing direct mentoring, hosting lectures and networking events, and distributing a newsletter explaining all the tips and tricks that you should know about when applying to jobs in DC, and it's absolutely free for all UMBC students and alumni.

The founders have all graduated in recent years and gone on to work in multiple executive departments and the US Congress, and they'd like to share what they've learned along the way. If you'd like to check them out, their website is pupsprogram.org, and you can apply to join from right there. If you have any questions, they'd love to hear from you at pupspilotprogram@gmail.com.
