New Program at Heads Smashed In Buffalo Jump, Canada
A UNESCO World Heritage Site

Announcing a new archaeology field school at the UNESCO world Heritage site of Heads Smashed in Buffalo Jump (Canada). This buffalo jump was used for over 5,500 years to kill bison by driving them off the 36 foot high cliff. It is one of the largest and best preserved buffalo jump sites anywhere in North America.

This program includes online instruction, intensive four weeks of field excavation and culminates with one week of intensive lab work and artifact processing; a total of seven weeks of field school. It is one of the most archaeologically comprehensive programs offered this summer by any academic institution.

Given the late offering of this field school and its low cost (Tuition is $3,360), we urge interested students to apply as soon as possible. This field school will take place together with students matriculating at the Lethbridge University, Canada.
