Siobhan Quinn successfully presents
her Dissertation Research Proposal
            The LLC Program
    is pleased to announce that Siobhan Quinn of Cohort 17, successfully and
    skillfully presented her dissertation research proposal to her committee on October
    11, 2021. 
                  
    
    Her project is titled, (Be)Longing:
    Singing the American Iliad. Ethnic Identity Discourses in the Public Sphere: A
    Micro-History of the German Community and Germania Hall in Troy, NY in Three
    Vignettes. 
After Siobhan’s presentation,
    she had a substantive discussion with the committee about the next stages of
    her work. Her committee agreed that the project is worthy of doctoral research
    and helped Siobhan consider some key issues as she moves forward into the
    research and writing.
