Tunisia Lumpkin Successfully Presents

her Dissertation Research Proposal

The LLC Program is pleased to announce that Tunisia Lumpkin of Cohort 19, successfully and skillfully presented her dissertation research proposal to her committee on May 17, 2021.

Her project is titled, "What I Like: Chronicles of Black Males' Perspectives on Black Women's Hair."  After Tunisia's presentation, she had a substantive discussion with the committee about the next stages of her work. Tunisia's committee agreed that the project is worthy of doctoral research and helped her consider some key issues as she moves forward into the research and writing.
