Disaster events serve as "stress tests" to US
Public Policy Professor John Rennie Short recently published a new book Stress Testing the USA: Public Policy and Reaction to Disaster Events. In the book, Dr. Short provides a stress test to the US by examining its policy responses to natural and other disasters, and what structural flaws they expose.
