B.A. INDS: Environmental Impacts on Public Health

Why did you choose to major in INDS?
Before transferring to UMBC I was unsure what major to choose. I was attracted to the INDS program because it gave me the opportunity to tailor my undergraduate experience to exactly what I wanted. The INDS program taught me how to use an interdisciplinary approach to understanding how the environment affects health. Through my course work, I am able to incorporate the knowledge and skills that are necessary for me to be successful in my future career. I am grateful to the INDS staff and faculty for their continued support throughout this process.
What are your plans for after graduation, and how do you see using your INDS degree?
After graduating I plan on pursuing a career in the field of Public Health. I am interested in a career where I am able to apply research and grassroots efforts that work towards solving environmental health crises in underserved and underprivileged communities. Additionally, I plan on pursuing a graduate degree in the near future.
