Description

Evidence for Action:
Encouraging Innovation and Improvement

November 8 - 10, 2018  | Washington Marriott Wardman Park |  Washington, DC

The APPAM Fall Research Conference is a multi-disciplinary annual research conference that attracts the highest quality research on a wide variety of important current and emerging policy and management issues. The conference is comprised of panels, roundtables, and poster presentations and is designed to encourage substantive interaction among participants.

Public Policy faculty, students, and alumni participate in this conference, especially when it is in DC, which it is every other year.

Student Memberships are $40.  In the past, we have been entitled to some student membership waivers from APPAM because  we are an institutional members.   (We should know very soon about waivers for fall 2018.)

Just to follow up, though the conference registrations are not free, students can register at a discounted rate if they have an active  student membership. It looks like UMBC still has 20 student memberships to use for 2018.

Students may use the following link to receive their complimentary membership: https://appam.memberclicks.net/comp-membership-form-2018#/

If a student is already an APPAM member and is renewing membership, the system will have automatically generated a $40 invoice for their account. They will need to apply the following promo code to overwrite this $40 balance: 2018InstStuComp.

You may apply for one of the Adam Yarmolinsky fellowships/grants to help reduce the expense of attendance.
