We are pleased to inform you that our guest speaker will be Harry S. Johnson. Mr. Johnson is an extremely successful litigator for Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, LLC:
Mr. Johnson attended the University of Maryland, College Park for two years and then transferred to UMBC, where he graduated in 1976. He then attended the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where he earned his JD in 1979. Mr. Johnson is currently a partner at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, LLC located in downtown Baltimore. He has experience with many types of law, including products liability, environmental, toxic exposure, medical malpractice, and lead paint. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Johnson is extremely involved in professional, civic, and public service activities. He currently serves on several prestigious boards and committees, including the ABA Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity and the Board of Trustees for the Office of the Public Defender. He has also held multiple executive board positions in the Maryland State Bar Association. Mr. Johnson has been awarded countless accolades throughout his career. He was voted Baltimore’s Best Lawyer in 2014 and is recognized as one of Baltimore’s top lawyers for 2015 as well. Additionally, Mr. Johnson was recognized as Practitioner of the Year in 2012 by the University of Maryland Black Law Students Association and has consistently been listed in the Best Lawyers in America magazine each year since 2006.
