Faculty Learning Communities End of Year Celebration

Description

Join this celebration to learn more about the Faculty Learning Community (FLC) program at UMBC. Participants in the current FLCs have spent the year exploring and discussing the topics of pedagogies and strategies to address student stress and mental health, designing humanizing assignments in the age of AI, the design and delivery of high impact practices, and practical metacognitive approaches to help students succeed. At this event they will share and demonstrate the outcomes of their work. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn more about proposed FLC topics for 2026-27. If you have registered and find that you can no longer attend, please kindly release your spot so that others may attend.

Lunch will be provided to all participants registered to attend in person. Please email fdc@umbc.edu to note any dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, food allergies, etc.) by Thursday, April 30. The deadline to register for this event in person is the earlier of Thursday, April 30 or when the event reaches capacity. Please email fdc@umbc.edu to be added to a wait list if the event is full. Please note that funding for in person programs with lunch is limited, so we ask that you please commit to coming upon registration and kindly release your spot if you can no longer attend.
