Location
Earl and Darielle Linehan Concert Hall
Date & Time
October 18, 2025, 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Description
With characteristic elan and virtuosity, Ensemble Bravura and conductor Philip Mann present a multifaceted and eclectic Livewire finale exploring human interconnection. International soloist and luminary of the bassoon, Kim Walker is featured as soloist in a concerto written for her by David Baker that draws upon blues and jazz idioms with solo electric bass and trap set joining the ensemble. The incomparable audiocinetic sculpture and multidisciplinary artist with a singular style, Herman Kolgen, will then transport audiences in a pairing of an original work with Philip Glass that combines screen, stage, and sound in a poignant multisensory experience. Joan Tower’s In Memory and other works continue the exploration connections with a focus on dramatic moments of bonding, fragmentation, and the memories that follow.
$15 general admission, $10 seniors, $5 students. Tickets will be available in early Fall 2025.
