First Week

  • New faculty orientation!  A University orientation  will be held in the morning of August 21st, 2023, with the college orientation to follow at 1:30pm in Fine Arts Room 427.
  • Departmental chair meets with new faculty to discuss classes, logistics, mentoring, describe roles and responsibilities of department administration/staff
  • Ensure new faculty member gets appropriate seminar and colloquia announcements
  • Introduce new faculty member to members of the department
  • Introduce new faculty member to graduate students
  • Provide syllabi, class notes, or other materials to facilitate teaching, class prep
  • Describe procurement procedures for new equipment

 

First Semester (some items may not apply to all faculty)

 

End of First Year

Department chair meets with new faculty and mentors to discuss progress after one year
